In Loving Memory
Palmer- Geraldine E. "Gerry" Olson, 91, passed away July 15, 2025 at her home with her loving daughters by her side. She was born on September 10, 1933 in Palmer to the late Louis Mercier and Dorothy (Cosgrove) Burgess. She worked many years as an assistant clerk for the Palmer Accessors Office. Spending time with her family was truly her greatest joy.
Besides her parents, Gerry was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Marhelewicz, and her brothers, Louie and Sidney Mercier, and her sisters, Dorothy Lamery and Marjorie Morgera.
She is dearly missed by her daughters, Kim Koziol and husband Stanley, and Ann Lachowski and husband Joseph. She also leaves four grandchildren, Steven Lachowski (Megan), Susie Lachowski-Glass (David), Caitlin Kenney (Kyle), and Kristin King (Greg); eight great-grandchildren, Hunter, Jack, Beau, Marla, Max, Savy, Jake, and Ryan; sister, Patricia Severage; and her neighbors who soon became friends and now considered family, Christine, Mike and family.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of Gerry's family.
