Joanne Ellen Bennett Hawkins (1958-2025)passed away peacefully on June 20, 2023, surrounded by his family in Oakland Ca .
Joanne was known for her quick wit, infectious laughter, and unwavering kindness. She was a mentor to many young architects and a pillar of support for his community.
Joanneis survived by Her Husband of 55 years, Larry , her children, Sarah (Tom) and Michael (Laura); and his grandchildren, Emily, James, and Noah. She was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Eleanor Smith.
Joanne’s kindness, generosity, and love for her family will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. She believed in building not just structures, but also relationships and memories that stand the test of time.
