William M. Thomas, 91, of Oak Valley, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 16, 2025.
Legacy
He was a loving and caring father, grandfather, great grandfather, great-great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He loved to be around his family, especially his grandchildren. He was the beloved coach of the Oak Valley Hawks and Oak Valley Vikings midget football teams. He loved hunting, going to the mountains, camping and later in life going to the Jersey Shore. He served with honor in the United States Navy, serving during the Korean War. A proud owner of Cotterman Inc. for over 20 years.
Family
He is the beloved husband of the late Dorothy "Dot" Thomas of 66 years; loving father of William "Billy" Thomas (Denise), the late Richard Thomas, Kathy Thomas, Carrie Norton, Dorothy Thomas, Joseph Thomas (Maria), Patrick Thomas (Tracey), Patricia Hagenberg, Jeffrey Thomas and Jennifer Thomas; eighteen grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren. Dear brother of Bobby (Karen), Michael (Lynn), Corey (Karen), Late James (late Joan), late Betty Jane (late Joe), late Dotty (late Mac), late David (Terry), late Paul (Susan), and late Richard. Predeceased by his parents Elizabeth and James Thomas. He will be greatly missed by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Farewell Tribute
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Thursday, July 31, 2025 from 10:00AM to 11:00AM in the St. Margaret's RC Church, 3rd. & Beech St. Woodbury Heights, New Jersey. A memorial Mass will follow at 11:00AM. Inurnment at Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery Williamstown, New Jersey.
