While surrounded by family and friends, Frank Edward McCollum left our world on Friday, July 18, 2025. Frank relocated to Tucson from Newton, NJ in the late 1960s with his wife and young children. He joined Tucson Electric Power (TEP), where he worked for over 30 years. Starting as an apprentice in the commercial power industry, Frank moved upward from journeyman to management. A firm believer in the industry, he was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union, where he represented workers’ rights for many years. Frank was also an avid hunter and fisherman who built a cabin in the White Mountains on the weekends, with his children lending a helping hand for generations of his family to enjoy. He was a skilled woodworker, selling his handmade toys at craft fairs. After retiring from TEP, Frank and his wife renovated an estate in Flagstaff and operated one of the most successful Bed and Breakfasts in Northern Arizona, before returning to Tucson to be with their extended family.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Christine; their four children; three grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Services and viewing will be held at Brings Broadway Chapel, 6910 East Broadway Blvd., on July 25 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.
