Linda Gail Rino
July 17, 1952 – August 1, 2025
Linda Gail Rino, born Linda Gail Brungardt, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2025, in Summerville, South Carolina, at the age of 73. She was born in Dallas, Texas, and raised in Corrales, New Mexico. She was the daughter of the late Guido Milton Brungardt and Helen Ruth Pelt.
Linda spent over 30 years as a devoted flight attendant with Frontier and United Airlines, traveling across the country and around the world. She loved her work and the people she encountered along the way, always bringing a warm smile and a caring heart.
A gifted artist, Linda had a passion for painting and all kinds of arts and crafts. She was known for her generosity, compassion, and love for others.
Throughout her life, Linda made her home in New Mexico and Colorado, and later followed her greatest joy—her daughter and grandchildren—to Florida, Minnesota, and eventually South Carolina. She lived in Summerville with her daughter’s family and was a part of Faith Church, where her faith continued to grow.
She is survived by her daughter Christina Marie Smith and son-in-law Timothy Smith; her grandchildren Timothy, Taya, and Tauren Smith; and her siblings Karla Benefield, Celeste Matzinger, and Mark Brungardt. Her love and legacy will live on in all who knew her.
A memorial service celebrating Linda’s life will be held on Saturday, August 2, at 11:30 a.m. at Faith Church in Summerville, SC.
