In Loving Memory
Anita Fuerte Flores born on June 10th, 1935, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her children in the early morning hours of Saturday July 26th. She was born in Michoacan, Mexico and moved to Salinas in the 1960’s to provide a better future for her children. She was a devoted wife and mother of seven.
Anita was strong, stern, and a forthright woman with an incredibly generous and selfless heart.
She is survived by her children, Manuel, Jose Luis Ponce, Leticia, Stella and Teresa Flores, grandchildren, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed, her sacrifices shaped us, and she will forever be our strength. Anita is preceded in death by her mother Antonia, husband Esteban, daughter Reyna, son Rafeal and siblings, sister Jacoba, Delia, Esther, bothers Alfredo and Hilberto Fuerte.
Services will be held Monday, August 18th at 11am at Madonna Del Sasso Church, 320 E. Laural Drive Salinas CA 93907.

Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
