September 15th, 1963 - July 30th, 2025
Darlene Beck, 62 of Tacoma, Washington, previously of Elkader, Iowa, passed away peacefully into the arms of God on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, after a lengthy illness. Darlene was born September 15, 1962 in Guttenberg, IA, to Evelyn Loomis and Don Arthur Harbaugh. She married Milton William Beck on June 20, 1981. She graduated from New Hampton High School. Darlene enjoyed working at a number of places, including Scenic Acres Residential Facility as a CNA for several years, Big River Marketing in Guttenberg and Casey's in Guttenberg. In her free time she always enjoyed gardening and spending time with her kids and grand kitties. Survivors include her brothers Don Tammen and his wife Sharon, Delwin and Daryl Harbaugh; in-laws Lennie and Cathy Beck, Dave Beck, and special sister-in-law Laurie Christen and her husband Bernie, special brother-in-law Harold (Hank) Beck and numerous nieces and nephews; her sons Dean, Lonnie and Steven Beck, along with her grand kitty Princess Mia. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Milton in 2005, her sister-in-law Sandra in 2004, as well as her beloved dog "Wiggy", and her loyal cat "JoJo". At this time no services are planned. Edwards Memorial in Federal Way, WA is assisting the family. Precious Flower,Divine providence hath seen fit to pluck thee from this earth and transplant thee to the Garden of Eden, where a more fitting abode awaits thee.
