Jean Hartley Coulter
May 24th, 1939 - August 8th, 2025
Alma Jean Hartley Coulter, went to her eternal home on Friday, August 8, 2025. She was born in Louisville, KY on May 24, 1939 to the late Eldridge Coleman (Coke) and Mary Lucille Gregory Hartley. Jean was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends and many more whose lives were touched by her.
Jean is survived by her daughters, Marcie Coulter (New Mexico) and Missie Coulter (Versailles). She also leaves behind a sister-in-law, nieces and nephews and their children and her two furry friends Buddy & Sugar.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Maxine Curry, Pat Crocker, Carrie Holman and Betty Toll; and by her brother, Eddie Hartley.
She was a member of Southside Christian Church, enjoyed gardening, music and her dogs. She started a small accounting business in 1979 and continued to work until her passing.
Funeral Service will be held at 6:00 pm on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill, Versailles with Rev. Bobby Cairell officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until the time of service. Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, August 15, 2025 at Rose Crest Cemetery, Versailles.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to Bluegrass Hospice Care.
