Born on January 29, 1945, in Arcadia, Florida, Jerry was known for his steady presence, quiet strength, and quick wit. As a young man, he proudly served in the United States Air Force, an experience thatshaped his sense of discipline and commitment. His presence, guidance, and humor spoke volumes.Jerry was the rock of his family, a constant source of support who taught us the value of integrity, love, and standing up for what is right. He often reminisced about the “good ol’ days” and had a way ofopening his heart to others, even when the words were hard to find. His loyalty ran deep, and hispresence had a way of grounding everyone around him. He lived simply and wholeheartedly, finding joy in gathering with family over a plate of southern homecooking, sitting on the porch, or sharing a memory one more time. He loved listening to country music, bluegrass, and later in life, jazz, and he also enjoyed golfing and fishing whenever he could. His hugswere like a bears, strong, comforting, and full of love. Even when he was hurting, he found a way tocrack a joke and lift the spirits of those around him. You could always count on him to bring a smile or alaugh when it was needed most. Jerry was a father to many and a proud grandfather and great-grandfather.
