Dr. Robert Burgin Dalton (Bob) passed away August 8, 2025. He was born August 18, 1933 in Winston-Salem to Laurence and Virginia Dalton. He graduated from RJ Reynolds High School and later Davidson College. He served in the United States Army in Korea. After graduating from the Medical College of Virginia, School of Dentistry and completing post-graduate work, he established his dental practice in Kernersville. Devoted to the care of others, he continued seeing patients and serving the community for over 50 years.
Loving husband and father, he is survived by Katie Bright Dalton, his wife of 64 years. He is also survived by two daughters, Paige Dalton (Barry Motsinger) and Katherine Jones (David) as well as two grandchildren, Rachel Wolff (Eric) and Jack Jones. Bob was predeceased by both parents (Laurence and Virginia); his brother (Richard) and his sister (Carolyn).
Services will be Wednesday, August 13th, 2025 at 2:00PM at Main Street United Methodist Church where he has been a member since 1965. Reception will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Main Street United Methodist Church or a charity of your choice.
