It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Krzysztof Podolski, beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend, at the age of 70. Born on August 28, 1954, and raised in Mielec, Poland, Krzysztof was the cherished son of the late Zygmunt Podolski and Barbara Podolska (Golda).

Krzysztof leaves behind his devoted wife, Regina Podolska (Dusza), with whom he shared 47 years of life’s seasons. As a father to his daughters, Dominika Podolska-Blair (husband Rikki) of Westfield and Karolina Podolska of Holyoke, he was a constant protector, mentor, and encourager—always urging them to chase their dreams.

His greatest joy was being Dziadziu to his beloved grandchildren—Liliana Nofal, and Zach and Zara Blair—always ensuring they had not only what they needed, but so much more. He is also survived by his brother, Stanislaw Podolski (wife Bogumila) of Mielec, Poland, also the Dusza and Wolanczyk families, both of Holyoke.

Professionally, Krzysztof was a gifted aerospace engineer. He began his career at WSK Mielec in Poland before moving to the United States, where he spent 33 years with WGI, Inc. in Southwick. He possessed both the meticulous mind to solve complex problems and the hands-on skill to bring ideas to life. For Krzysztof, engineering was more than precision—it was about dedication, integrity, and always doing the job right.

Krzysztof had a rare gift for being exactly where he was needed—a steady, reliable presence for those he loved. His legacy is not only in always being able to fix problems (both tangible and intangible), but in the family he nurtured, the lessons he imparted, and the countless lives he touched.

Outside of work, Krzysztof embraced life’s pleasures and adventures. He enjoyed trips with his family to Maine, Florida, the Caribbean, his home country of Poland, along with other European countries, exploring wineries and breweries, and hunting.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his strength, generosity, and unwavering love.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025 from 4:00 PM-7:00 PM at the Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home, 646 Newton St., South Hadley, MA.   The Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony of Padua  Parish, 56 Saint Anthony St., Chicopee.  Please meet directly at the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Krzysztof S Podolski Scholarship Fund for Engineering, mailed to 10 Holly Meadow Rd, Holyoke MA 01040 or the family is requesting a tree be planted in his honor.
