June 20th, 1965 – July 20th, 2025

It's with deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Brett Alan Jones, who unexpectedly left us at the age of 60 on July 20, 2025, at his home in Albuquerque, New Mexico after a long battle with Crohn’s Disease. A proud lifelong New Mexican, Brett graduated from Sandia High School and went on to live a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Brett was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Homer and Charlotte Bostick. He is survived by his loving family: father William Jones, Mother Diane Bostick Jones, brother Brian Jones, and sister-in-law Veronica Jones. He is also survived by his nephew Justyn Jones, Justyn’s wife Bryanna, and their children, Noah and Ryleigh—along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and many dear friends.

Brett was also blessed with a special partnership and deep friendship with Alisha Maestas, whose love and companionship brought him great joy in life.

A passionate sports fan, Brett especially loved football and was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys supporter. He also enjoyed horse racing, baseball, and nearly all things sports. One of his proudest roles was coaching Little League Baseball, where he not only taught the game but also shared life lessons with the young players he mentored.

Brett loved the outdoors. Whether it was hunting, fishing, hiking, or camping, being in nature brought him peace and happiness.

His presence in the lives of those who knew him will be deeply missed. His infectious smile, sense of humor, and kindness touched all who crossed his path and are only a few of the many qualities that made him unforgettable.

A Celebration of Life will be held on:

Monday, August 18, 2025, at 2:00 PM Riverside Funeral Home – Chapel 225 San Mateo Boulevard NE Albuquerque, NM 87108

The family invites attendees to wear a shirt or jersey of your favorite football team in Brett’s honor, if possible.
