Mrs. Mary “Myra” Greer, age 86 a resident of New Port Richey, Florida passed away Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Gulfside Hospice @ Heather Hill surrounded by family. Mrs. Greer was born April 22, 1939, in Clanton, Alabama to Obie and Ethel (Smitherman) Smith. She was a Florida resident for over 40 years coming from Alabama. She was a retired Restaurant Manager and a member of Central Assembly of God Church in Auburndale. Myra enjoyed crocheting, puzzles, coloring and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter – Joyce Cooper Porter; 6 brothers – James, Thomas, Robert, Vernon, Clarence & Barney and 2 sisters – Jewel & Dale. Myra is survived by her loving family, 2 sons – Melvin (Mandy) Cooper & Kenneth (Patricia) Cooper; 2 daughters – Nina Hickok & Lauren Anderson Butler; 10 grandchildren – Melissa (Anthony), Kelsey (Preston), Scott (Maureen), Aaron (Amanda), Michael, John (Tina), LeAnn, Landon, Jason & Gabby and 11 great grandchildren – Abby, Addie, Kolton, Kooper, Ellie, Jackson, Shawn, Davis, Brody, Hudson & Hayes. Funeral services will be held 11 am Saturday, August 16th at Kersey Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Auburndale Memorial Park.
