Donald R Marcuse was born on September 21, 1948 in Miami, FL, and passed away in Chandler, AZ on August 2, 2025.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years Alice Marcuse, son Ken Marcuse, daughter Sara (Josh) Golightly, sister Gail (Paul) Kleinau, brother Larry Marcuse, two grandsons Trent (Caitlyn) and Kyle, one future granddaughter Holly, four great-grandsons, and many nieces and nephews and sister and brother-in laws.
He grew up in Miami, FL, moved to Culver City, CA in the early 60’s and attended Marina Del Ray Middle School and graduated from Venice High School. While at Venice High School, he loved playing the drums and surfing was his favorite pastime. He attended Santa Monica Community College. Don had lived in Las Vegas, NV.
He lived primarily in Bakersfield, CA. Don was a family man who enjoyed spending time with his loved ones, watching football, and riding his Harley. His favorite place to visit was the coast. He owned and operated a trucking company for 40+ years before he retired. He was the best husband and an amazing father and grandfather. Don will be remembered as a dependable, strong, funny, and lovable man, and is missed dearly by his family. He lived his life to the fullest with no regrets.
Don is proceeded in death by his father, Maurice F Marcuse, his mom, Marjorie D Marcuse, and his grandma Mamie Dass.
