Floyd Allen Dean
December 17th, 1946 - August 8th, 2025
Floyd Allen Dean, 78, of Nicholasville and devoted husband to Linda Joyce Dean passed away on Friday, August 8, 2025. He was born to the late Hayden Dean and Virginia Mae Smith Dean on December 17, 1946, in Bowling Green, Ohio. Floyd was a faithful Christian who attended Clays Mill Baptist Church.
Floyd was a patriotic American who served our nation honorably in the U.S. Navy.
Following his service in the Navy, he attended Hillsdale College and Hyles-Anderson College. He worked in a variety of fields, including construction and security.
His hobbies included woodworking and camping.
Most of all, Floyd loved the Lord. He found great fulfillment in teaching from the Bible and leading others to the Lord.
In addition to his loving wife of 50 years, he is survived by their four children, Don Dean, Kimberly (Stanley) Lawrenson, Kelley (Jim) McFadden, and Alida (Benny) Grine; his siblings, Fred Dean, Glenda (Dale) Dillon, and Martha Ruble; and 11 grandchildren: Patrick, Lauren, Caleb, Elizabeth, Zachariah, Bethany, Josiah, Chloe, Stephen, Luke, and Nicole.
His services will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2025. The visitation will take place from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Clark Legacy Center-Brannon Crossing. The graveside service will occur at 2:30 pm at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. The Jessamine County Sheriff’s Department will lead the funeral procession to the cemetery, departing near 2:00 pm.
