Memorial

Rosemary Palmer, 59, of Whitewater Wisconsin, passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 3rd, 2025, due to some underlying health issues.

Rosemary was born to Russell and Bernadette Palmer in Chicago, IL. She was raised with eight brothers, Russell Jr., Randall, Joseph, Richard, Rudolph, Raymond, Roque, and Roman.

On her 20th birthday, she was blessed with a son named Jordan R. Palmer. Her and Jordan lived in Chicago until she decided to move to the small town of Whitewater, WI. Whitewater became her home, and that's where she decided to stay. Jordan graduated from Lake Park High School in Roselle, IL. in December 2004 and was scheduled to be inducted into the US Army.

Things took a turn for the worst on Sunday, July 19th, 2005, when Jordan was tragically taken from his mother in a terrible car accident.

In September 2005, during the hardest time of her life, Rosemary fell in love with the love of her life, Jarred Kinkaid . They dated for 15 years, and finally, on Halloween 2020, they tied the knot, having a small intimate wedding to secure the foreverness they both felt.

Over the last 20 years, Rosemary and Jarred raised two cats - Stormy and Smokey - and made a lot of memories together. 7 years ago, on August 13th, a little cleft lip French bulldog puppy stole their heart, and they had to have him. Rosemary would bottle feed him while he was in the pocket of her shirt until he was able to feed himself. He was the smallest and goofiest looking dog, but she fell in love with him and named him Sloth.

Jarred and their three fur baby boys always came first. Rosemary had a heart of gold and was an amazing wife and animal mom, always trying to fill the void and pain in her heart by the loss of her son.

At times in her life, she was a little rough around the edges, but trying to navigate life without her son was very difficult. She held all of her sons friends close to her heart and always kept in contact with them. Over the years, Rosemary's heart grew and she learned how to love again. It was a beautiful thing to watch.

She is preceded in death by her son Jordan, her parents Russell and Bernadette, and her brothers Randall and Rudolph.

She is survived by her husband Jarred, Brothers Russell Jr., Joseph, Richard, Raymond, Roque and Roman, her sister-in-law's, her nephew and nieces, (who she was incredibly proud of), many other family members and some really, really close friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on  Friday, August 15th, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Nitardy Funeral Home 550 N. Newcomb St. in Whitewater, WI.

Nitardy Funeral Homes - Whitewater

We have proudly served the Southern Wisconsin community since 1932, when our founder Hilmar A. Nitardy opened his first funeral home in the area. We feel very fortunate to continue serving the community three generations later. In 2007, we constructed our first funeral home in Whitewater. Here, our mission is the same as it has been for over 90 years: help walk our community through times of grief and provide beautiful and meaningful services to every family that walks through our doors. We are proud that Whitewater families trust us to take care of their loved ones....
