Paul Scerri 87, a resident of Ocala passed away on August 11, 2025 he was born in Rabat, Malta on May 8, 1938.
He was an electrician at Hewlett Packard, loved to sing, loved music, one of the best cooks around, expressed his love by cooking, painting, bowling, loved telling jokes, loved spending time with his grandchildren. Enjoyed his whiskey, going on cruises and traveling.
Always accepted others, saw the BEST in everyone - patient, kind, compassionate, gentle soul who loved his family very much. Embodied Catholicism, was a eucharistic minister for a time and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Paul is preceded in death by his parents Anthony and Rosaria Scerri, sisters Polly, Nina, Salvina and brothers Joseph, Victor and Pius.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years Matilde Scerri, his oldest daughter Maria, 2 children Sofia and Katherine, youngest daughter Connie, and her 2 children Layla and Abigail. Sisters Mary, Bella and Carmen and brother George, and many loving nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025 from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services Timber Ridge.
A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 8:30 am at Queen of Peace Catholic Church with Patrick J. O'Doherty, officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Queen of Peace Catholic Church.
