Bruce Donald Manzer
July 2nd, 1956 - August 4th, 2025
Bruce D. Manzer, 69, of Satellite Beach, FL, formerly of New Hartford, NY, passed away unexpectedly on August 4, 2025, at Holmes Regional Hospital in Melbourne, FL.Born in Utica, NY, Bruce was the son of the late Charles and Dolores (Dobrzenski) Manzer. He attended local schools and went on to enjoy a long career with the telephone company, retiring as an inside troubleshooter with Verizon. After moving to Florida, he also worked at the Indian River Colony Club in Melbourne.Bruce loved the feeling of the open road on his motorcycle, proudly owning and riding several over the years. Yet as much as he enjoyed the freedom of riding, nothing brought him more joy than time spent with his family—especially video calls and the big family hugs from his grandson, Hudson. Bruce was also a devoted animal lover, he often adopted pets from his local shelter, giving them a loving home.A man of faith, Bruce was an active member of Club Zion Community Church in Cocoa Beach, FL. He was also a member of American Legion Post 200 in Satellite Beach and a charter member of the Riders.He is survived by his loving partner, Melony Kelly, and her son, Paul Kelly. He is also survived by his daughter, Brooke Manzer, and her partner, Larry Spetts; his beloved grandson, Hudson; his granddaughter, Jocelyn; his sisters, Debbie Sendzuk and Susie Manzer; his brothers, Chuck (Cindy) Manzer and Gary (Donna) Manzer; his sister-in-law, Cindi Manzer; and many cherished nieces, nephews, and close friends.He was predeceased by his son, Jesse Manzer; his brother, Michael Manzer; and his brother-in-law, Bryan Sendzuk.A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 16th at 2:00 PM at Club Zion Community Church, Cocoa Beach, FL, followed by a Celebration of Life at 3:00 PM at American Legion Post 200, 105 Ocean Blvd, Satellite Beach, FL.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bruce’s memory to Brevard County South Animal Care and Adoption Center, 5100 West Eau Gallie Blvd, Melbourne, FL 32934—a cause close to his heart.A Celebration of Life will also be held in New York at a later date, to be shared with close family and friends.
