Dolores “Dee” Marie Six of Sumner, Washington, was born in Puyallup on April 9,1929 and passed away August 7, 2025 at the age of 96 years old. Dolores married Richard Six, Sr. on November 13,1948 and was the love of his life for 72 years until his passing in May, 2020. She is survived by a brother Noble Warrant Jr., children Richard Six Jr., Patrick Six and Kathy Hayden. Dolores was preceded in death by her parents Noble and Jeanette (Smith) Warrant Sr., sister Jeanette Aloisi and son Larry Six. She had 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. She was a devoted homemaker and for many years enjoyed being a tutor to students at Maple Lawn Elementary School in Sumner, Washington. Dolores loved bowling, traveling, camping, babies and her little vegetable garden. For years she worked the main Scone booth at the Puyallup Fair and spent a short time as a secretary to the Army during the occupation of Japan in 1946. Dee was the matriarch of the Walter and Josephine Smith family who have resided in the Puyallup-Sumner Washington area for over 122 years. Her great grandchildren were amazed at her baking skills and how she got those tiny designs on her chocolate cookies (they were Oreos!). She will rest at peace beside her husband Richard in their wall niche at the City of Sumner cemetery.
