Dan LeRoy Johnson
November 8th, 1943 - August 13th, 2025
Dan Leroy Johnson, 81, of Vale, OR, passed away at Pioneer Place assisted living on 13 August 2025.
Dan was born on November 8, 1943 in Coalville, UT, to Lewis and Roselind Johnson. He was the fourth son of 10 children. Dan graduated from Vale High School and then from the College of Idaho with a bachelor's degree. Dan married his high school sweetheart, June Fugate of Brogan, OR, and they were married for 59 (28 May 1966) years and had 7 children. He was a prominent member of the Vale Community and a long-time teacher and coach at Vale High School.
He is survived by his wife June Johnson, daughters Jill, Christie, and Melinda, and sons Brad, David, Jeremy, and Michael, and several grandchildren, and his siblings, Janet Girvin, Chris Johnson, Jerry Johnson, Geary Johnson, and Kelly Johnson.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00a.m. on 16 August 2025 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints chapel in Vale, Oregon. A family prayer will begin at 9:20a.m. Burial and graveside will be held after the funeral service at Valley View Cemetery.
