Marcos Sanchez 84, of Espanola, New Mexico left this world on angel’s wings with our Lord Jesus Christ on Wednesday, August 6, 2025. Marcos enjoyed hunting and hiking in the mountains of Colorado and northern New Mexico but most of all he enjoyed fishing. He owned and operated the Valley Cleaners in Espanola for fifty years. He dedicated his life to maintaining his sobriety and was a lifelong member of Alcoholics Anonymous. He sponsored many in the program and was sober for fifty-four years at his time of death.
Marcos was preceded in death by his parents Juan Antonio Sanchez and Antonia Montano Sanchez, and his brother Diego Sanchez. He is survived by his wife Terry Sanchez and his children Renee, Mark, Leonard, and Markita (Michael).
A rosary will be held at Holy Cross Church in Santa Cruz, New Mexico on Wednesday, August 27th, 2025 at 10:30 AM with a funeral mass to follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery
