Costella F Brickhouse
December 14th, 1949 - August 1st, 2025
Costella F. Brickhouse, 75, of Gilbert, Arizona, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 1, 2025, at Chandler Regional Hospital.
Born December 14, 1949, in Mitchell, GA, she was the eldest of four children to the late Willie and Mary Fowler. She was a guiding light to her siblings — Larry Fowler and Caroline Fowler — who survive her, and was preceded in death by her brother Willie Fowler.
In 1974, Costella married her high school sweetheart, the late William Brickhouse. Together, they shared a loving marriage and were blessed with two daughters, Ingrid Rumore (Daniel) and Shantra Anderson (Ryan). As a proud Air Force wife, Costella embraced the adventure of moving to various places during her husband’s military service. After William retired from the Air Force, the family settled in Phoenix.
A lifelong learner, Costella earned her Bachelor’s degree from Clark College in Atlanta and subsequently obtained her Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. She dedicated herself to her career with diligence and integrity until her retirement.
Retirement brought Costella the freedom to explore her many passions. She discovered joy in sewing, staying active with her workout group, enjoying lively happy hours with friends, and traveling to new destinations. Her smile, laughter and compassion were constant companions in every gathering.
Above all of her various passions, her most cherished role was that of “Grammy” to her four beloved grandchildren — Jaden, Caleb, Braylon, and Rylee. Nothing brought her more happiness than spending time with them, whether it was sharing stories, celebrating milestones, or simply enjoying each other’s company.
Costella’s life was one of love, family, and friendship. Her legacy lives on through the countless lives she touched with her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering devotion. She will be deeply missed but eternally remembered in our hearts.
