Ralph Jackson Lassiter, Sr.
December 1st, 1941 - August 14th, 2025
Ralph "Jack" Lassiter, SR 1941-2025
Mr. Ralph "Jack" Lassiter, age 83, a longtime resident of Lakeland, Florida, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, August 14, 2025.
Born on December 1,1941, in Winter Haven, Florida, Jack spent his life rooted in Polk County. Over the years, he built a legacy defined by hard work, devotion to family, and a love for the open road. A retired truck driver with more than four decades behind the wheel, Jack and his beloved wife Dianne were proud Owner/Operators who also worked with D & K Transport of Dade City. Together they shared not only a business but a deep bond that spanned 60 years of marriage.
Jack’s passion for trucking extended beyond his career. He was an active member of the CB Club and was affectionately known by fellow drivers as “Little Rebel.” His handle reflected both his spirited nature and his enduring presence in the trucking community.
Traveling was one of Jack’s greatest joys—especially when shared with Dianne. Their adventures often began spontaneously; one memorable trip started as a simple outing for ice cream and ended in Arizona. These journeys were emblematic of their shared sense of adventure and deep companionship.
Jack was preceded in death by his cherished wife Dianne and their son Jack Jr., both of whom held central places in his heart.
He is survived by four daughters: Donna (George) Deal of Winter Haven; Lisa (Nicholas) Robinson of Lakeland; Loretta (Scott) Weaver of Clinton, Tennessee; and Shea (Mike) Fitez of Lakeland. Jack also leaves behind ten grandchildren—Amanda, Matthew, Cynthia, Mike, Shane, J.W., Scotty, Kody, Brandi, and Joshua—and sixteen great-grandchildren who carry forward his legacy.
Jack’s life was marked by dedication—to his work, to the road he loved so much, and most importantly to the family he held dear. His memory will live on through the stories shared around kitchen tables and the miles traveled by those who remember him fondly.
May his memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved him. A Visitation will be held on August 22, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Kersey Funeral 108 Lake Stella drive
