Myrtle Jane Cook, 65, of North Port, Florida, passed away on August 7, 2025. She was born in Welch, West Virginia, to the late Douglas and Lois Lester.
Myrtle worked in retail at Walmart for 25 years. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandmother, Florence “Maw” Hicks.
She is survived by her husband, Amos Cook of North Port, Florida; sisters, Linda Roberts of Princeton, WV, Mary Sue Cline of Hanover, WV; and Kimberly Lockhart of Maiden, NC.
