William “Bill” Morrell, Sr., aged 81, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 surrounded by his loving family.
Loving and devoted son, brother, uncle husband, father and Pop to all the grandkids.
Bill was born September 23,1943 in Philadelphia where he met the love of his life, Joann. Soon after they met, they were married and had a family. Soon after his children were born, he relocated to New Jersey where he shared over 60 wonderful years with his wife, Joann.
Bill may have been quiet, but he was a strong man with important life values that he passed on to his children and grandchildren. He was a hard worker who worked for many years as a truck driver with Frank Kull Sanitation where he was loved and respected.
Bill loved baseball, especially when he was coaching. He coached his son’s team for two years and brought home championships both years. He also enjoyed his summers at Strathmere and playing the slots at the casino. Lately, he liked taking rides and listening to music like the Righteous Brothers and the Eagles.
Bill was preceded in death by his loving wife, Joann and his parents Charles and Viola Morrell, and his siblings Charles, Jr. and Marie Stefanowicz. He is survived by his children, JoAnn Masano (Mario) and William Morrell, Jr. (Jeannie), his grandchildren, Billy, Marissa, Gia and Donato.

McGuinness Funeral Homes - Woodbury
We have served the Woodbury community since 1951, when our founder, James A. McGuinness, opened our first funeral home. He knew the importance of families having a trustworthy, local funeral home to help them memorialize their lost loved ones and navigate grief. Our beautiful funeral home in Woodbury was originally built in the late 1700s, and has since been rebuilt to honor its original charm and comfortable, warm feel. Once you walk through our doors, you become family....
