It is with love and sadness that we announce the passing of Lucia Piedad Espinoza Ruiz, who entered eternal rest on August 13, 2025, at the age of 93. She passed peacefully at home, surrounded by her family.

 

Lucia was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador, where she grew up, got married to her late husband, Juan Plaza and had her only child Lidia Perdomo. After the loss of her husband she moved to the United States to be closer to her only child and help her raise her family. She devoted her life to Lidia, her grandchildren, and later to her many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Family was always at the center of her world.

 

She was known for her generosity, her quiet strength, and the joy she found in caring for others. Her kitchen was her sanctuary, and she poured love into every meal she prepared. To her family and friends, she was a source of comfort, guidance, and unwavering love.

 

Lucia lived a long and full life, leaving behind a legacy of faith, family, and resilience. She touched the lives of everyone who knew her and will forever be remembered for her kind heart and nurturing spirit.

 

She is survived by her devoted daughter, Lidia Perdomo, her loving son-in-law, Luis Perdomo, her grandchildren, as well as her many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

 

Lucia’s life will be celebrated on August 23rd, 2025 from 10 AM to 3 PM, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and the love she shared so freely.

 

She will be dearly missed and forever cherished.

Con amor y tristeza anunciamos el fallecimiento de Lucía Piedad Espinoza Ruiz, quien partió a la eternidad el 13 de agosto de 2025, a la edad de 93 años. Falleció en paz, en su hogar, rodeada de su familia.

 

Lucía nació en Guayaquil, Ecuador, donde creció, contrajo matrimonio con su difunto esposo Juan Plaza y tuvo a su única hija, Lidia Perdomo. Tras la pérdida de su esposo, se mudó a los Estados Unidos para estar más cerca de su hija y ayudarla a criar a su familia. Le dedicó su vida a Lidia, a sus nietos y, más adelante, a sus bisnietos y tataranietos. La familia siempre fue el centro de su mundo.

 

Fue conocida por su generosidad, su fortaleza silenciosa y la alegría que encontraba al cuidar de los demás. Su cocina era su santuario, y en cada plato que preparaba transmitía amor. Para su familia y amigos fue siempre una fuente de consuelo, guía y amor inquebrantable.

 

Lucía vivió una vida larga y plena, dejando como legado su fe, su amor por la familia y su ejemplo de resiliencia. Tocó la vida de todos los que la conocieron y será recordada por siempre por su gran corazón y espíritu bondadoso.

 

Le sobreviven su hija amada, Lidia Perdomo, su querido yerno, Luis Perdomo, sus nietos, así como sus numerosos bisnietos y tataranietos.

 

La vida de Lucía será celebrada el 23 de agosto de 2025 de 10 a.m. a 3 p.m., donde familiares y amigos se reunirán para honrar su memoria y el amor que compartió con todos.

 

 

Lucía será profundamente extrañada y siempre recordada con cariño.
