It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Ronald Joseph Ventrella, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother, who has gone home to be with his Lord and Savior. He was born on October 31, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois, to Biagio and Giovanna (DeSio) Ventrella. He passed peacefully on August 11, 2025. He dedicated 42 years of service to CNA Insurance and retired in 2003. Retirement allowed him to travel with friends to see many parts of the world. His favorite pastime was playing golf with a group of friends at his country club. He also enjoyed a men’s Bible study group every Tuesday. He is survived by his devoted wife, Elizabeth (Delaby), whose love and partnership were the foundation of a beautiful life together. He was a proud father to two daughters: Michelle Ventrella Ricker, married to Daniel Ricker, and Melissa Ventrella Proctor, married to Kristopher Proctor. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren: D. Jacob Ricker, Gage Ricker, Megan Proctor, Amanda Proctor, and Camden Ricker, and his beloved great-grandson, Callum Istler. He is also survived by two loving sisters, Linda, married to John Curcio, and Celeste, married to Nicholas Micucci, who shared joys and memories of a lifetime. In addition to his sisters, he had two nephews, John Curcio, married to Krista Curcio, and Nicholas Micucci. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, like spending time with his family and friends. His laughter, warmth, and love for life were evident in every moment shared with those he cared about. His wisdom and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May his memory be a blessing and his spirit live on in the hearts of those he touched. A celebration of his life will be held at Loyless Funeral Home in Land O’ Lakes, Florida, on Thursday, August 21, 2025, starting at 10:00am, where family and friends will gather to honor his memory and the faith that guided his journey.
