Diane Marjorie Mason (née Beckmann), 67, beloved mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend, was born into this world on Friday, May 16, 1958, and unexpectedly departed it for the stars and heavens on Friday, August 8, 2025, in Lakewood, CO.

Diane was a sincerely compassionate and giving person. She would not hesitate to give you her last dollar, along with the shirt off her back. She opened her heart and home to anyone who asked for help. Diane was kind to everyone and encouraged others to demonstrate kindness as well. She was cherished by family and friends for inspiring this level of kindness.

She was a social butterfly. She loved talking to and visiting with friends and going out. She loved a good party—despite always arriving fashionably late. She loved music, listening to a good band, going to concerts, and dancing.

Diane also enjoyed peaceful activities. She loved growing and tending to her plants. She loved cooking and was great at it. Anytime her family needed to know how to get things done in the kitchen, they called Diane. She was a foodie, willing to try almost any food. She was a sensitive soul who loved to laugh and often cried—so, of course, a big rom-com fan. But her true passion was crafting. She spent endless hours creating new ways to solve old problems. She was terrifically inventive.

Remaining to cherish Diane’s memory is her loving husband of 38 years, Scot Mason; her beloved mother Virginia Bruer; her adoring daughters Maria Speranza, Sondi Mason, Ashlie Mason, and son Jeremiah Marsh; her sons-in-law Nicholas Speranza, Lorenzo Washington, and daughter-in-law Janine Lawrence; eleven grandchildren Jazmin, Justin, Jaiden, Lillian, Isaiah, Alicia, Arianna, Mason, Gabriel, Sonarri, and Lilliana; her dear sisters Mary Farris, Susanne Tafoya, and brother Theodore Beckmann; her sisters-in-law Judy Beckmann, Kathy Wallace; brothers-in-law Jeff Farris, Greg Mason, Sam Mason, and Duane Wallace; her many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. She was preceded into the stars and heavens by her father Rudolph Beckmann, step-father Carl Bruer, mother-in-law Shirley Mason, and father-in-law Norm Mason.

Diane is deeply, deeply missed, but she will remain eternally in our hearts and memories. And her legacy of kindness will live on in all of us.
