It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Annie "Goolsby" Jean Jones, who departed this world on August 13, 2025, in Warner Robins, Georgia, at the age of 76. Born on December 23, 1948, in Macon, Georgia, Annie was a cherished daughter, beloved mother, grandmother, and treasured friend to many. 

Annie was preceded in death by her husband, Warris Jones, her parents, and her brother, Albert Nelson Crawford. She is lovingly remembered by her children: Cedric (Lydia) Scott, Reginald Goolsby, Demettree "Nikki" Turner, Christopher (Shantravia) Turner, James (Kedra) Ashley, and Tonya Ashley. Additionally, she leaves behind a host of grandchildren: Brittany Scott, Yatesha Scott, Jalen Scott, Cedric Scott, Jr., Monique Wimberly, Tre'Kuadrius Sanders, Eboni Gray, Chaylin McNeal, Deja Lawson, Korey Ashley, Kameron Ashley, Tiauna McMillian, Kasha Goolsby, Jatita Brown, Jyquarious Ashley, Quintarious Ashley, Kassidy Ashley, Kennedy Mahourne, Christopher Turner, Jr., Nakosha Brown, Kaleel Turner,  Christopher Christion Turner, Drayton Turner, and Christal Turner, 29 great-grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews,  and a multitude of friends whose lives she touched with her kindness and humor.

Throughout her life, Annie dedicated herself to various roles that reflected her loving nature. She worked as hotel staff at a hotel in South Carolina, spent many years at Winn Dixie, and served as a teacher's assistant at the Head Start Program in Macon, Georgia. Her warmth and ability to connect with others made her a beloved figure in each place she worked. Annie's personality was defined by her kindness, honesty, and delightful sense of humor. She was passionate about bringing her family together, hosting joyful cookouts that were filled with laughter, good food, and the warmth of love. Her greatest joy, however, lay in caring for her children and grandchildren, with whom she shared many cherished moments.

Family and friends are invited to gather for graveside services on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Saints Rest Cemetery, located at 826 Eisenhower Parkway, Macon, GA 31206.  Annie leaves behind a legacy of love that will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace, embraced by the love she so freely shared during her lifetime.
