Elaine Ann Kellerman Tourville

3-30-1938 to 8-13-2025

Born in So. St. Paul, MN, to parents Raymond and Bertha Kellerman, Elaine was raised by wonderful grandparents and aunts and uncles. She met Eugene Paul Tourville in high school; they married in 1959. She dedicated her life to serving her family, community, and God. Elaine worked as a teacher’s aide for School District 11 for twenty years and volunteered for another twenty years. She helped many children learn to read to succeed. Elaine started reading tutoring programs, including summer remedial reading with grand friends. Her passion for reading led her to serve as volunteer librarian at the Holy Apostles Catholic Church Library for over thirty years.

Elaine is survived by husband Gene, half-sisters Linda Nolan (Ron) and Vicki Kellerman (Laurie), and her six children, Rosanne Armstrong (Dennis), Jon Tourville (Marcy), Michelle Wheatley (Hal), Jeanette Reese (John), Francine Tourville, and Vince Tourville (Elena). Additionally, she is survived by 11 grandchildren: Angela, Kristina, Fletcher, Denise, Elise, Caleb, Hamilton, Aleesia, Eli, Johanna, Elias and six great grandchildren.

The family would like to express their gratitude for the compassionate care provided by her incredible neighbors and friends through their visits and thoughtful support. And thank you, to the Pikes Peak Hospice team, for first-class care offering dignity and peace as she transitioned to her heavenly home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Apostles Catholic Church, 4925 North Carefree Circle, on Saturday, October 25, at 11 a.m. A reception will follow in the parish hall. You are welcome to wear colorful clothing to celebrate Elaine’s arrival to her heavenly home.

Donations may be made to the Colorado Springs Marian House Kitchen at www.ccharitiescc.org.

"The ashes of Elaine Tourville, church librarian, like the cover of an old book it's contents worn out, lies here dust to dust. But the work shall not be totally lost, for it will be as she believed, appear once more in a new and more perfect edition, corrected and amended by the author." - paraphrase from Ben Franklin in Vision Ignatian Book
