In Loving Memory
OAK RIDGE, NC – Mr. Dennis Muelker, 77, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 15, 2025, at his home. He was born on September 2, 1947, in Gonzales County, Texas to the late Denver Leroy Muelker and Viola Marie (Petru) Muelker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Michael and James Muelker.
He is survived by his wife Magdalena (Maggie) Plaza-Muelker, his son Rodney Neal Muelker, grandchildren Brian and Sara, siblings Gary Muelker (Debbie), Brenda Biela (Richard) and Linda Muelker (Lisa) and many nephews and nieces.
Dennis was a retired Supply Chain Manager (Intel Corporation). He volunteered at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kernersville as an Usher and was an active participant of the parish Adoration Team for many years. Dennis was also a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus.
Dennis had a love for sports. Excelled in baseball and basketball in high school and was a huge fan of the Houston Astros and Dallas Cowboys. He would watch every game of the Astros especially after retirement even when the team was out on the west coast while he was out in the eastern time zone. It was an interesting time in the house when Astros and Yankees squared off since his wife is a Yankee fan.
He enjoyed cruising with Maggie to many destinations, especially to Europe. He Liked to play slot machines while on cruise ships and occasionally at some casinos. Always looking for the three 7’s.
Was a math whiz and could always count on him remembering birthdays and other special occasions.
Enjoyed his time in the Strategic Air Command as a Sargeant while in the Air Force and had a love of airplanes and aviation in general.
Memorial service will be held at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral, 213 W. Mountain Street, Kernersville, North Carolina 27284 and then Mr. Dennis Muelker’s remains will be taken to Texas to his final place of rest. Memorials can be directed to Tunnel to Towers Foundation (T2T.org) or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
Dennis served his God, family and country with love and honor always.
