Timothy Allen Larson

Timothy Allen Larson, age 78, of Puyallup, Washington, passed away on June 26, 2025 surrounded by his wife and children.

Timothy was born on November 4, 1946 in Everett to Shirley Elizabeth Turner and Eugene W. Larson. Tim Larson graduated from Everett High School in 1965. He then went to Washington State University with a football scholarship. Tim played football his freshman and sophomore years until an unfortunate motorcycle accident prevented him from playing his last two years. While at WSU, Tim was a member of the TKE fraternity and he graduated WSU in 1969 with a civil engineering degree.

Tim began his engineering career with the Washington State Highway Commission Office of Bridges & Structures. After 5 years working for the State, he joined the City of Tacoma Water Division. Tim retired from the City of Tacoma Water Division in 2005, after 30 plus years. After retiring from the City, he worked for another 5 years as a consultant with HDR Engineering, Bellevue Office. In addition, Tim was elected to the Fruitland Mutual Water Co. Board of Directors, where he served from 1986 until his death (39 years).

Timothy will be remembered for his love for family, work ethic, kindness, and jeopardy skills. He loved fishing, golfing, reading, and lending a helping hand. Above all, he cherished his family, friends, and most of all spending time with his grandkids.

Timothy is survived by his wife, Elizabeth, his children Shawn (Stephanie), Todd (Jen), Megan (Tim Vinyard) and Devin (Matt Enders), and his grandchildren, Elsa, Coen, Riley, Kensley, Denali, Cooper and Bridger. Tim is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Shirley, and his siblings Sharon, Gary, Dean, and Nancy.
