Clarice (Joan) Webster
November 10th, 1937 - August 17th, 2025
Joan Pullen was born in Bayard Nebraska Nov 10,1937 to Vern and Clarice Pullen. They moved to Emmett, Id. in 1947. Shortly after, they moved to Notus Idaho, where she attended school.
She met a cute referee by the name of Walter Webster Jr. at a basketball game in Notus, Id. Come to find out that the cute referee was the love of her life and were married on June 26th, 1954. Together they built a home in love, faith, and family. They welcomed three children: Ellen Marie, Timothy Wayne, and Clay Alan.
She had a few jobs over the years, including they weigh station and child services. In 1980 Joan was diagnosed with MS and decided to enjoy life at home with family. She was a strong woman who worked tirelessly to take care of others, often putting their needs before her own. She and Walter raised their children in Payette County after eventually settling in New Plymouth where they created a lasting home.
Tragedy touched Joan's life with the loss of her son Timothy in 1976, but her strength carried her family through. She also endured the passing of her parents, her brother Joe and many loved ones, yet she remained source of steady love of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. It was a never dull moment with Joan around you can find her during the week chasing grandkids and later great grandkids. Joan enjoyed attending church every Sunday for spiritual renewal. In her free time, she loved to craft and made sure her home was filled with all different forms of it. Joan was also an avid BSU fan and never missed watching a game if she could help it.
She is survived by; her daughter Ellen Smith (Tom Harrison) of Middleton, Id. Son Clay (Connie) Webster of Ontario Or, and three siblings Mike, Jill and Bonnie. Joan had six grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
She is proceeded by her late husband Walter, her son Tim, her parents Vern and Clarice and her brother Joe.
Family and Friends are invited to a viewing at Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel,112 North 9th Street, Payette, Idaho on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
A celebration of Joan’s life will be held at Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest beside Walter and Timothy at Parkview Cemetery in New Plymouth, Idaho following the service.
For those who are unable to join us in person for the Celebration of Life and Graveside Service, we would love for you to be part of the day through Livestream.
