Our beloved mother lived a long and full life, in the early morning of Tuesday August 19, 2025, Pauline Clair (Cole) Turner passed away at home in Springfield OR
Pauline was born February 13, 1916, to Lucy Melinda (Wilkinson) Cole and Richard Henry Cole in Bath New York. Pauline married Clyde Frederick Turner on September 14, 1935, in Hornell NY.
Pauline and Clyde had three children Lucy (Bunny) in 1936, Claudia in 1940, and Larry in 1950. In 1952 Pauline and her family moved to Springfield OR and in 1955 she started work at Sacred Heart hospital in Eugene OR. After 26 years she retired in 1981.
Pauline enjoyed crossword puzzles, bowling, and traveling to Hawaii, Arizona, Florida and back home to New York. She won the Oregon State B singles bowling tournament championship in 1981 at the age of 65!
She had 10 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 21 great great grandchildren. Pauline is survived by her daughter Lucy (Bunny) Scott and her son Larry R Turner. Pauline is predeceased by her husband Clyde Frederick Turner (2004), Daughter Claudia Warnock (1983) son-in-law Stanley Warnock (2016) son-in-law Richard Putnam (2000) and daughter-in-law Daphne K. Turner (2023) and her parents Richard H. Cole (1947) Lucy M Cole (1971) her sister Doffina (Dot) Franklin (1994).
Public viewing will be September 5, 2025, at Springfield Memorial Gardens, 7305 Main St., Springfield OR from 11:00am - 1:30pm. There will be a celebration of life in August 2026
