Michael Samson

Michael A. Samson, 56, of Sewell, NJ passed away at his home on Tuesday, August 19, 2025.
Born in Philadelphia, Michael was a lifelong resident of Washington Township. Michael worked primarily as a chef, spending some of his career at Borgata Casino at Wolfgang Puck’s Restaurant, and most recently for Schellenger’s Restaurant in Wildwood, NJ. His last employment was General Merchandizer with Target where he was regarded by his peers as dependable and a hard worker.
Away from work, Michael was an avid Philadelphia Flyers and Eagles fan. He loved to cook and enjoyed experimenting with tantalizing spicy foods. He was meticulous, passionate and spirited when it came to cooking. He enjoyed the solace of camping and was a fan of rock & roll.
He is survived by his parents, Bruce and Janet (Peel) Samson; his sister Jeanine Samson; nephew, Robert J. Eichorn III; and his aunts and uncles, Tommy and Inez, Peggy and Ken and Lorraine.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 25, 2025 from 10:00am until 11:00am at the McGuinness Funeral Home, 573 Egg Harbor Road, Sewell, NJ. A Funeral Ceremony will be held at the funeral home at 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The American Heart Association at Why Give | American Heart Association or to one of the Flyers Charities at Flyers Charities | Philadelphia Flyers.
