Barbara Ann Jagels, 87, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2025. Barbara was born in Columbus, Georgia to the late Charles and America Welch. It is there she met the love of her life, Captain Martin G. Jagels, who was stationed at Fort Benning, Georgia. They were married in 1960. Barbara was raised in the Baptist faith and was a devout Christian. She worked at the former office of Meggs and Lyons, Attorneys at Law in Lexington, SC. Later she enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters who she loved and cherished. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and attending Carolina Gamecock football games with her husband. She was also a member of the West Columbia Leisure Center.
Barbara was predecease by her husband, Martin G. Jagels; her sister, Odessa Roberts; and brother, Charlie Welch.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Christine Mohler; granddaughters, Victoria Fontana and Emily Morgan; along with three great-grandchildren.
If you would like to in honor of Barbara, she supported many charities for military veterans and Alzheimers.
Barbara will be greatly missed.
