It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Walter Clyde Harpe, who departed this life on August 21, 2025, at the age of 80. Born on January 30, 1945, in Warner Robins, Georgia, Walter will be remembered for his dedication to family and service to his country.
Walter served honorably in the United States Army, where he embodied the values of duty and commitment. After his service, he continued to apply his mechanical skills at Robins Air Force Base, working as an aircraft mechanic until his retirement. His work was characterized by precision and hard work, earning him the respect of colleagues and friends alike.
Walter is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Walter Emmett Harpe and Annie Virginia Joiner. He leaves behind a loving family, including his devoted siblings, Virginia Dalton and William Harpe, as well as his cherished nieces and nephews: Charles Dalton, Karen Crisci, and Mary Dalton. He was especially proud of his great-nephew, Ryan Alvarado.
A graveside service to celebrate Walter's life will be held on Monday, August 25, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Magnolia Park Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to join us as we honor a remarkable man who touched many lives with his kindness and dedication. In this time of sorrow, we take comfort in the memories of Walter and the legacy he leaves behind in our hearts. May he rest in peace.
