Stanley Thomas Butler, 88, widower of Henrietta Giles Butler passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2025 in Frankfort, KY.  He was born on December 13, 1936 in Frankfort, KY to the late Stanley and Mable Butler.  

 

He retired from IBM after 35 years of service and was a farmer all his life. Stanley received the "Pioneer Farmer of the Year Award"; a lodge member of the Stamping Ground Lodge; and a Franklin County Switzer Fire Department Volunteer. Stanley was a member of Peaks Mill Christian Church and a mentor to many. 

 

Stanley is survived by two daughters, Lisa Butler Tackett, Stamping Ground, KY and Deborah Butler Wiley, Georgetown, KY; sons, Bradley Butler, Stamping Ground, KY, Randall Bret Butler, Frankfort, KY; three grandchildren, James Thomas (J.T.) Wiley, Cheryl Wiley Pennington and Scott Thomas Tackett; many great and great-great grandchildren; one sister, Audra Decarlo, Canada. 

 

She preceded in death by a son, Stephen Butler; two sisters, Annie Tester and Shirley Jean Butler Updike.

 

Celebration of Stanleys life will be held at 3:00pm on September 7, 2025 at the North Fork Baptist Church (Switzer Church) with Bro. Jay Stratton officiating.
