August 12th, 1948 - July 1st, 2025
Richard Scott Nelson who went by Dick Nelson. Passed away after a full life at 77 years old on July 1, 2025 he was born August 12, 1948 to Donald and Marjorie Nelson. He is survived by his wife of 44 years Teri Nelson. His siblings Marcia and Bob. He is preceded in death by his parents. His oldest daughter Jennifer & granddaughter Elaina. They are all together now.
Dick was a family man first and foremost. He married the love of his life Teri in 1981. A love that grew from having fun going to plays, spending time along the Seattle waterfront and bowling with friends and family. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Always enjoyed making the kids smile. He loved playing baseball, watching sports with the family, and supporting their dreams.
He graduated from Washington state University. Go Cougs! And proudly supported them. Taking many trips to Pullman with his family even attending both Rose Bowls. Dick was a fan of all Seattle sports teams: a season ticket holder of the Seahawks from 1976 to 2005. And going to Sonics and Mariner games with his family.
Dick also loved to travel. One of his favorite places to visit being Maui. No matter where the family was a great time was had thanks to him.
