Bryan "Pat" Patrick Keeney
April 11th, 1948 - August 17th, 2025
Bryan Patrick (Pat) Keeney was born April 11,1948 in Elkhart, Indiana to Allen and Ethelmay (Riley) Keeney. He graduated from Groveton High School in Alexandria, Virginia in 1966 and from the University of Maryland University College in College Park, Maryland in 1980.
Pat worked for Atlas Steel in Virginia and the Robert J. Brady Company in Maryland as well as several other companies in the Washington DC area before moving to Colorado in 1993 to work for MCI. He retired from Verizon in Colorado Springs in late 2017 as a Senior Software Engineer.
Pat served in the US Army from 1969 - 1971, between January 13 and July 27 of 1971 he was stationed in Vietnam.
Pat enjoyed tinkering with cars and for a time, before and after his military service, he raced on several drag racing tracks in Maryland and Virginia in a car that he had rebuilt.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Alberta (Schneider), his daughter Erika Keeney, and our cat - Kitty all of Black Forest, Colorado. He is also survived by his two brothers: Michael Keeney (Sally) of Salem, Oregon, and John Keeney of Lanham, Maryland.
He was predeceased by his father and mother Allen and Ethelmay Keeney, and his brother Peter Keeney, all of Harrisonburg, Virginia.
