Our beloved sister, aunt, and friend, Laurel M. Lissner of Jackson, CA, passed away on Monday, August 18, at the age of 74.
She is lovingly remembered by her older sisters, Hollie Jones and Olive Lissner; her niece and three nephews; as well as numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
She will be dearly missed by friends and patrons of the sewing cottage.
Laurel was born at Stanford Hospital in Palo Alto, CA, and spent her childhood abroad in Africa and Barbados with her parents and sisters. She enjoyed belly dancing, corvettes, puzzles and games, quilting, and was an avid reader and dog lover.
At Laurel's request, no service will be held. Donations can be made in Laurel's name to the Amador County Animal Shelter at [email protected], or adopt a dog or cat.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to Hospice of Amador County for their care and compassion.
