Tice Kwame Blount

Tice Kwame Blount, 47, of Charlotte, NC, passed away on August 9, 2025, just nine days before his 48th birthday. He was born on August 18, 1977, in Greensboro, NC, to John H. Blount and the late Pamela L. Covington. Tice was raised with love and godly values in Hertford, NC.

 

Tice was a master craftsman who found his calling in the trades, completing certification in HVAC and asbestos management. His exceptional talents extended far beyond his formal training. He was renowned for his remarkable skills in bricklaying, landscaping, woodworking and numerous other trades that showcased his natural ability to create and build with his hands. His cool demeanor and infectious sense of humor made him not only a skilled tradesman but also a beloved colleague and friend.

 

Tice had a special gift for connecting with young people, reaching them through his gentle compassion, deep understanding and refreshing transparency. He believed in the power of mentorship and used his own experiences to guide and inspire the next generation. His approach was always authentic, meeting people where they were with patience and wisdom.

 

A true visionary, Tice possessed an innovative mind that constantly generated ideas for inventions and unique designs. His creativity knew no bounds, and he was deeply passionate about the arts. Music held a particularly special place in his heart, leading him to adopt the artistic name TraXmif for his musical creations. Through his music, he expressed his innermost thoughts and shared his creative spirit with the world.

 

Above all else, Tice loved God and lived his faith through his actions and relationships. He will be remembered for his unwavering loyalty, his big heart, and the profound love he held for his family. His life and legacy of love will continue to inspire all who knew him.

 

Tice is survived by his beloved sons, Tice Mekhi Blount and Asad Raji Blount; his beloved siblings, Crystal Blount, Lorenzo Blount (Hope), Immanuel Felton (Sofia), and Zamyia Felton; his adored nieces Zhanell and Cherish; nephews, Champ and Princeton; and a host of loving cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends whose lives he touched. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Pamela L. Covington.

 

Tice Kwame Blount’s legacy lives on through his children, his creative works, the lives he touched, and the countless projects he brought to life with his skilled hands.

 

His memory will forever be a blessing to all who were privileged to know him.
