Mary Pahos Pikramenos

Mary Pahos Pikramenos, beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2025, in Perry, Georgia, at the age of 92. In her memory, the family has chosen to forgo traditional services, honoring Mary’s wish for simplicity. They invite all who loved her to celebrate her life in their hearts and through acts of kindness towards others.  

Born on September 29, 1932, in Gary, Indiana, Mary lived a life rich with love and laughter, leaving behind a legacy that will inspire her family for generations to come. Mary dedicated many years of her life as a school bus driver for Pinellas County in Florida, a role that not only reflected her incredible work ethic but also her profound commitment to the well-being of children. Her infectious laughter and kind spirit brightened the days of countless students, and her stories became a treasured part of their journeys to school.

A proud daughter of Greek immigrants, Mary's roots were deep in family values and traditions. She cherished her heritage and instilled a love for their culture in her children, Julia Quarles, Claire Pikramenos, and John Pikramenos. Mary’s family extended further with her treasured grandchildren, Meredith Edwards, Nathan Quarles, Justin Pikramenos, and David Quarles, who brought endless joy to her life. Her home was always open, filled with love, humor, and warmth that made everyone feel welcome.  

Mary was a woman of strength and grace, often described as funny and kind. She embraced life wholeheartedly, celebrating every moment and inspiring others with her unwavering positivity. Her spirit will continue to resonate in the lives of those who knew her, reminding us all to find joy in the little things and to cherish our loved ones.  

As we remember Mary Pahos Pikramenos, let us carry forward her legacy of love, laughter, and hard work. She will be deeply missed but forever celebrated as an inspiration in our lives.
