Richard Patrick Oakeley, age 86, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2025. He was born on April 19, 1939 in Ranchos De Taos, NM to Patrick and Emelina Oakeley.  Richard was proceeded in death by his wife Neva Oakeley, father Patrick Oakeley, and mother Emelina Oakeley.  Richard is survived by his children Denice and Richard Jr., stepchildren Angel Sandoval and Domnick Salvino.  He is survived by his siblings, Henry, Benjamin, Louis, Johnny, and Harold (Grace), nieces, nephews and many extended family members.

 

Our loved one Richard “Dickie” will always be remembered as someone who was a gentle, kind, loving and caring person. He will be greatly missed.  

 

A Grave Site Burial Service will be held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 12801 West 44th Ave., Wheat Ridge, Colorado on Friday September 5, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. 

 

It is requested that all vehicles meet at the main entrance of Mt. Olivet Cemetery in the parking lot for a procession to the grave site.  Following the service a reception will be held at:

 

Correa’s Event Center, 3890 Kipling St., Wheat Ridge, Colorado 80033.
