Ronald Daily Ritchey

Ronald Daily Ritchey, 82, of Versailles, and husband of Marion H. Ritchey passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2025. A Lexington native, he was born to the late William Ritchey and Blanche Dunn Ritchey on April 21, 1943. Ron was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, Versailles.   

He attended Lafayette High School before he began his career as a Central Kentucky farmer. Everyone will remember Ron’s dedicated service to both Bluegate Farm in Fayette County and Bohannon Meyer Farm in Woodford County. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved to tell stories.  

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by five children: Steve (Becky) Ritchey, Tamara Webb, Marty (Marta) Ritchey, Dale (Tina) Ragland, and Rodney (Jill) Ragland; 13 grandchildren: Shai, Hannah, Adam, Chanler, Allison, Nash, Jamie, Jason, Hannah, Josh, Sara, Bryan, and Mikey; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in passing by four siblings, Robert Earl Ritchey, Phyllis Ann Kirkland, David Ritchey, and Donnie Wayne Ritchey.   

The public visitation will occur on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Clark Funeral Home in Versailles from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. A private family mausoleum service will also take place on Thursday at Sunset Memorial Gardens, after the visitation.
