Vera Louise Monroe

Vera Louise Monroe passed away peacefully of natural causes on August 9, 2025, at the age of 100. Born on April 21, 1925, in Billings, Montana to Nicholas and Katherine Rothschiller. Vera was the beloved wife of the late Richard E. Monroe and the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Vera was a wonderful Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother and Great-Great- Grandmother. Those of us who knew her were Blessed to be touched by her generosity, love and friendship, and the imprint she left on our hearts will never be forgotten. Not a day went by when Vera didn't talk about how much her family and friends meant to her. Vera worked hard all her life and when she retired, her and her husband moved to Benson, Arizona. Vera loved taking road trips to visit friends and family, gardening, crafting, painting, crocheting, beading and she was an avid genealogist late in life. Most of all, Vera enjoyed spending time with family and her wonderful friends at SKP Saguaro.

Vera is survived by her granddaughter Gina, great-grandchildren Kevin, Justin and Jacob, great-great-grandchildren Lily, Jaxon, Emily, Bently, Knox, Amelia and countless friends. Vera was predeceased by her husband Richard Monroe, her son David Monroe, her grandson William, her parents Nicholas and Katherine Rothschiller, and siblings Nick Rothschiller, Catherine Rothschiller, Matthew Rothschiller, Rosalia Rothschiller, Barbara Rothschiller, Frank Rothschiller, Alfred Rothschiller and Alvin Rothschiller.
