Clara was born on September 30, 1944, to the late Clarence and Evelyn DeLong of Roswell, GA. Clara is a retired registered nurse who practiced her expertise in many areas of nursing, the longest being at Joan Glancy Memorial Hospital located in Duluth, GA. Clara worked in the Medical/Surgical Unit for over 19 years and in long term care, sharing her compassion for the elderly. Clara is a loving, caring, and outgoing person. Clara is deeply loved by her family and friends. Clara had a special love for music which she expressed with her beautiful voice. She was an active member of the Alpharetta Church of God for over 25 years and a previous member of the West Columbia Pentecostal Holiness Church in SC, where she met Paster Brad, who currently resides in North Carolina. All her church family are close to her heart.

Her hobbies were reading, piano, socializing with friends, always helping others when possible, reading scripture and studying God's word.

Clara is survived by her son, Russell Allen Page of Lexington, SC; her daughter and son-in-law, Virginia Darlene and Scott Schafer of Goose Creek, SC; Mr. Russell Page (the father of her children) of Winder, GA; brother, Mr. Robert DeLong and wife Gretchen of Valdosta, GA; three wonderful grandchildren: Nicole, Leah, and Kyle; four beautiful great grandchildren: Alyssa, Caleb "lit CJ", Brayden, and Rowan; two precious great-great grandchildren: Kyree, and Scottlynn. The joy these grandchildren brought her is immeasurable. They made her life worth living. Also survived by most incredible nieces and nephews and cousins, who each meant something special to her. Also to mention her life-time friends: Rev John and the late Marilyn Waters, Mark Waters of Alpharetta, GA, Patricia Babson, Bladenboro, NC, and Linda Martin of Jasper, GA, and countless friends, too numerous to mention but each knowing how glad Clara was to have them in her life. Preceded in death by the most incredible husband, Loyd Clark Mize; brother and sister-in-law CJ and Latrell DeLong; sister, Virgina Wright DeLong; brother and wife, Carrell and Kate DeLong.

Special note from Clara to her family: I love you all so very much and I was so glad you were my family on earth; I would not trade any one of you. Hope to see you all in Heaven. Just remember that it is not what we do, it is what Jesus did. His unconditional love is Amazing! Jesus is our light in our darkest hour!
