Danny Clay Jones

Danny Clay Jones, 77, of Eastover, passed away on August 24, 2025. He was born on March 3, 1948, in Bastrop, Louisiana to the late Richard L. Jones and Arnita Clara B. Jones.

Danny was an avid outdoorsman and passionate deer hunter. He enjoyed his hobbies of hunting, fishing and simply being the life of the party. He found peace in the quiet of the woods and along the water’s edge, often sharing those moments with friends and loved ones. His stories of hunting and his fishing tales will be remembered fondly by all who knew him. His happiest days were spent in the deer stand or surrounded by family and friends, sharing stories, and making lasting memories.

Those who knew Danny will remember him for his easygoing nature, his humor, and his love for simple pleasures. He valued time spent with family and friends and lived a life filled with warmth, kindness, and appreciation for the world around him.

Danny is survived by his sister, Betty Jean Crisostomo (Pete), father of his daughter, Melissa Jones. Surviving are his niece, Deborah Crisostomo, nephews, Richard Crisostomo and David Crisostomo, and his granddaughter, Brianna Jones, as well as other extended family members. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Courtney A. Day and Charles Thomas Jones.

Danny will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.

A funeral service for Danny Clay Jones will be held on August 29, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209, with Rev. Brett DeYoung officiating. Friends and family will gather to celebrate his life and share cherished memories.
