Peter Ross Engelking (August 20, 1938 – August 16, 2025)
Peter (Pete) Engelking of Gig Harbor, WA passed away on August 16, 2025 at the age of 87.
He was born in Chester, Montana to Gerald Engelking and Helen McFadgen. He lived in Montana, Idaho, and Washington before graduating high school in Quilcene, WA. He enlisted in the Coast Guard serving his country for 4 years. He met the love of his life, Norma Matthews in high school and they were married for 64 years. They were blessed by two children, Cheryl and Brian.
Pete retired in 1993 from the FAA after 33+ years. He was also involved with starting the businesses, Accent Automation - computer store, and Auburn Valley/AV Video. He enjoyed woodworking, golf, traveling in the RV and spending time with family and friends.
Pete is survived by his wife, Norma Engelking; his children, Cheryl (Ron) Mason, and Brian (Sandy) Engelking; sister Elin Rodger; 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Gerald Engelking and sister, Kay Doxey.
A Celebration of Life will be held on September 20th in Gig Harbor, WA.
