Salvador Paratore
August 31st, 1934 - August 19th, 2025
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of the patriarch of our family, Salvador Paratore, 90, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Salvador entered into eternal life peacefully at home on August 19, 2025, surrounded by his three children.
Born on August 31, 1934, in Barranco, Lima, Peru, to Francisco and Lucia (Di’Costa) Paratore, Salvador lived a life rich in love, perseverance, and faith. Over nearly 91 years, he touched countless lives with his wisdom, unwavering spirit, and steadfast devotion to his family.
In the mid-1950s, Salvador began his career as an aviation mechanic for Faucett Peru National Airlines. In October 1959, Salvador immigrated to the United States in search of a better life and the promise of the American Dream. In December 1963, he reunited with his beloved fiancée, bringing her to the United States, and on February 8, 1964, Salvador joyfully married the love of his life, Irene, in Newburgh, New York. Together they purchased their first home in New Windsor, NY, where they raised their three children. Their life was rooted in faith, hard work, and family—a testament to the dreams they nurtured and the love they shared.
One of Salvador’s proudest moments came in December 1970 when he became a U.S. citizen, a reflection of his deep appreciation for the opportunities his new country afforded him.
He demonstrated an exceptional work ethic throughout his life. From 1961 to 1980, Salvador worked as an assembly line mechanic at the Ford Motor Company in Mahwah, NJ. During this time, he developed a lasting passion for automobiles—especially the Ford Mustang. He later purchased and restored his own 1964 Mustang, carefully outfitting it with original parts.
When the Ford plant closed in 1980, Salvador and Irene relocated their family to Glendale, CA, where he began a new chapter with Lockheed Aeronautics in Burbank, CA. There he served as a maintenance mechanic and earned high-level security clearances, contributing to the elite Lockheed Skunk Works projects.
In 2003, Salvador and Irene retired to Melbourne, FL, where they built their dream home. They enjoyed traveling across Europe—especially to Italy, where they visited Salvador’s extended family in Francavilla, Messina, Sicily. Retirement also brought the joy of spending more time with his six beloved grandchildren, who filled his heart with pride and happiness.
Salvador had a deep love for the written word, especially mystery novels and literature related to U.S. politics and government. He was also a devoted fan of classic Western films and took great joy in constructing detailed models of airplanes, cars, and naval ships, many of which are proudly displayed in his home.
A man of deep Catholic faith, Salvador was a loyal parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Community in Viera, FL. Throughout his life, he drew strength from his patron saint, St. Jude, and lived his life with humility, faith, and compassion. He was a constant source of love, laughter, and support for all who knew him.
Salvador is now reunited with the love of his life, Irene, his wife of nearly 60 years. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Irene; his parents, Francisco and Lucia Paratore; and his sister, Lina (Paratore) Alcalde.
Salvador is survived by his son, Salvador R. Paratore, Melbourne, FL; Daughter, Diana Guzman (Robert), Deland, FL; Daughter, Monica Troutner (Todd), Fairfax, VA; Grandchildren: Alessandra Palen (Christopher), Marissa Guzman, Andrew Troutner, Raquel Guzman, Salvador A. Paratore, and Nicholas Paratore; Brother, Paco Paratore (Susan); and many cherished cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
The family is working with Carousel Florists in Rockledge, FL, for floral arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Salvador’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, an organization close to his heart.
Salvador was a strong, faithful, and loving patriarch. Though he is gone from this earth, he will never be forgotten and will forever remain in our hearts.
